If you are looking for help then you may need answers to some of the following questions before making that decision to pick up the phone or send us an email:

We can help with a wide range of difficulties which have traditionally been handled by psychotherapy. In fact we can help with any situation in which you feel that your brain is not working to your best advantage. People tend to give these situations various names and labels. We employ human givens techniques for dealing with the following issues:

|
It is a reflection of our present society that human givens is most visible in its
therapeutic form. In its wider sense human givens is about emotional health and clear
thinking. Application of human givens principles by trained therapists can help to
cure many disorders which are symptoms that our brains are not working to our best
advantage. From the therapeutic point of view the new understanding that it brings
can help with issues such as addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, eating disorders,
obsessive and compulsive behaviour, panic attacks, phobias, post natal depression,
traumas, and stress related illness. It can radically improve our effectiveness in
working with children, and improve all aspects of relationships.

We are based in the town of Trowbridge, which is in the county of Wiltshire in the
UK. Please see the contact page for our full address and a Google map.

Everyone of us is different and faces different challenges. If you want to make some
improvement in your life then human givens therapy can help you with those changes.
|
Human Givens is a "talking therapy". We will listen to you and may offer suggestions
and advice. A typical session will involve one-to-one discussion of issues and is
likely to involve work with relaxation and imagination. We get involved and offer
practical advice and support where relevant. All information is treated with the
utmost confidence. Contact us for further details.
|
Individual sessions usually last one hour to one and a half hours although the first
is usually one and a half hours. Couples sessions are always one and a half hours.
|
We can usually offer you an appointment within 5 to 10 days. When you need help you
need it quickly so we work hard to keep our waiting list short. We achieve this by
having a number of qualified therapists working from our centre plus contact with
others in the local area who we can call on when required.
|
Human Givens therapists are trained to help you to feel better from the very first
session. However you might expect to book at least one follow-up session. Many people
find benefit from only two or three sessions and rarely require more than six. Contact
us for further details.
|
Individual sessions Individual sessions cost £50 and last between an hour and and hour and a half. We take as few sessions as possible to help you reach your goal and aim to help you feel better from the very first session. We want you to feel in control of how many sessions you have so we only generally book one session at a time. You are not under any pressure to come back if you don’t feel that you are getting value for money. By the end of the first visit, we normally try to give you an indication of how many sessions you might need – but how quickly you progress can depend on what else is going on in your life. Most people require between two and eight sessions. The average is four - about the same cost as having a car fully serviced. Couples and families sessions Couples and family sessions cost £75 and last one and a half hours. We work hard
to help you achieve your own aims as quickly as possible. Please contact us for more
information about our couples and families program.
|
We can never guarantee to be able to solve your problem. But we are confident we
can help - even though no one else has been through the same experiences and difficulties
that you have been through. We enjoy this work and we work hard to put our training
into practice for the best possible outcome for you. See what others have to say
about our services. | |
|
It is entirely reasonable (and very healthy!) to be sceptical. We encourage you to
be careful and ask questions when looking for help and understand how difficult it
is to place trust in someone you have never met - especially at a time when you are
at your most vulnerable. You may find it easier to get a feel for our services by
talking to us on the phone first. Please contact us if you would like a chat with
no obligation or pressure. You may like to read what others have said about us -
